The Flextrode Hygienic Electrode System was developed by Amrex to provide the patient an individual, personal hygienic application of electrodes with each treatment.
Electrical muscle stimulation, high volt or low volt ac, is usually applied through carbon type pad electrodes with disposable cloth covers, or sponge type pad electrodes. The Flextrode System has been designed for the application of electrical stimulation with the use of carbon type electrodes.
To use, the practitioner simply pulls the tab on the Flextrode disposable cloth cover to remove it from the sheet, affixes it to the conductive side of the Flextrode pad electrode and applies a conductive spray or gel. When treatment is complete, the practitioner disposes of a single, inexpensive, protective cloth cover rather than an entire stained electrode sponge.
With a new Flextrode disposable cloth cover in place, the practitioner is ready to make a sanitary, fresh start.
